What a local SEO vendor should require from every host site

Our targets for host sites in plain words, the sites we turn down, and a checklist you can use to verify the hosts of any vendor, including us.

  • Targets stated in plain words
  • Placements we refuse to use
  • A checklist for vetting any vendor

What do we look for in a host site?

These are targets, not certificates. We weigh each point by client and category.

  • Topic fit. The site covers a subject close to your client's trade, or the region your client serves.
  • Indexed and live. The site appears in Google's index and its pages load normally.
  • Real traffic. Visitors reach the site for reasons unrelated to the link we place.
  • A real operator. A real business, publication or organization stands behind the site and publishes on a normal schedule.
  • Sensible authority. As a target we look for a Domain Rating of 30 and above, read together with traffic and topic rather than alone.
  • Editorial context. The link sits inside a page that reads like normal content for that site's audience.

We show real examples of hosts on WhatsApp once we know your niche and target area, so you can judge them yourself.

What will we not use?

Some sites are excluded before a request is matched.

  • Sites that exist mainly to sell links, with no readers and no editorial identity.
  • Sites whose outbound links point to unrelated or risky categories such as gambling, adult or pharmaceutical offers.
  • Domains that have dropped out of Google's index, or old domains repurposed for content unrelated to their past.
  • Sitewide footer, sidebar or widget links that sit outside a real page of content.
  • Groups of sites that share one template, one author voice and one set of topics.

When a niche or city has too few hosts that pass, we say so on WhatsApp instead of filling the order with weaker sites.

How can an agency verify the hosts of any vendor?

Do not accept any vendor's description of its inventory at face value, ours included.

  1. Ask for live example URLs before you pay, not screenshots.
  2. Search Google with the site: operator and confirm that the host's pages are indexed.
  3. Check the traffic history in a tool you already trust and look for steady lines rather than sudden climbs.
  4. Read three recent pages as a visitor would and ask whether a real person would read them.
  5. Scan the outbound links on those pages for unrelated or risky destinations.
  6. Look at the rest of the site. A site that only publishes sponsored posts is a warning.
  7. Return after a few weeks and confirm the placement is still live and unchanged.

A vendor that avoids this routine has told you something useful.

Standards are applied per request, because a suitable host for a roofing client in one metro may not exist in another. After you share the target page, the niche and the area, we look for hosts that fit and tell you what we can supply. Categories such as legal, dental and medical attract more scrutiny, so we ask for more context.

Every account on wholesale programs uses the same standards, and a larger volume does not lower the bar. Placements are documented as described under unbranded reporting.

Risks and limits: what these standards are and are not

These standards are our own sourcing targets. They are not a certification or a promise about how Google will treat a link. Buying or exchanging links to influence rankings can fall under Google's spam policies on link schemes. Careful, relevant, editorial-style placements reduce that risk but do not remove it, and each agency should decide whether link buying fits its own risk tolerance and its clients' expectations.

A link is also one signal among many. Results depend on the client's site, the competition and the category, and we do not predict rankings, traffic or leads. Hosts can edit or remove pages after a placement, so re-check live URLs over time.

Questions about local link vendor in United States

Do you publish a list of host sites?

No. Host sites are shared in conversation on WhatsApp once we know your niche and target area. A public list would make placements easy to copy and could expose hosts that never agreed to be listed. Seeing real examples before you order is part of the process, and you are welcome to run the checks above on every one of them.

What does a Domain Rating of 30 and above mean here?

It is a target for the authority score of a host domain, read together with topic fit and real traffic. It is not a rule that every host must exceed it, and the number is only a third-party estimate. A relevant local publication with a lower score can suit a client better than a high-score site unrelated to the client's trade.

Can I check your hosts independently?

Yes, and we encourage it. Ask for the live URLs, then check indexing, traffic history, outbound links and the surrounding content with your own tools. Our standards are targets we hold ourselves to, so an independent check is a fair way to test them. Any host you are not comfortable with can be declined before you pay.

Do you put many of my clients on the same hosts?

We avoid it. Repeating the same hosts across one agency's clients looks unnatural and reduces relevance, so the match depends on each client's category and area. Where a niche has few eligible hosts, we say so, and you can decide whether to proceed, wait or change the plan.
